Why did my rating change?
Your rating updates whenever a new review is submitted or when a review is hidden or restored.
Note that it does not change when you submit a removal request, and it does not change if we reject one.
What triggers a rating change
Your score recalculates automatically in these situations:
- A new review is submitted — the review is included in your average immediately. The update may take a few moments to appear on Floom.
- We accept a removal request — the review is hidden, and your average is recalculated without it.
- We hide a review directly — same outcome as an accepted removal. Your average drops the hidden review.
- We restore a hidden review — the review becomes active again and is included in your average.
What does NOT change your rating
- Submitting a removal request — your score stays the same while your request is under review.
- A rejected removal request — the review remains visible and stays in your average.
Timing
Rating updates happen within moments of a change, but they are not instant. If you just received a new review or had a removal request accepted, wait a moment and then refresh your Reviews dashboard.
Common questions
My rating went down, and I wasn't notified of a new review. What happened?
A new review may have come in recently. Go to your Reviews dashboard and sort by "Most recent" to see the latest reviews.
My removal request was accepted, but my rating hasn't changed yet.
The update takes a few moments. If it hasn't changed after a few minutes, contact us at florists@floom.com.
My rating seems stuck and hasn't moved in a long time.
If no new reviews have come in and you haven't had any removal decisions, your score will stay the same — that's expected.
