What's popular
With the changing of seasons comes the changes of demands for different stems for different occasions. We've listed the top stems clicked on Floom.com by our consumers. Unsurprisingly, roses are the most searched for stem over the Spring, with seasonal stems such as tulips and lilies being highly sought after by consumers.
Colours play a big part in consumer decision making, and with the new season comes different interests, below we've listed the most popular colours consumers have filtered by when searching the floom.com shop page.
What else should I be tagging products for?
Consumers are still searching by occasion as their main way to qualify a purchase with Birthday and Sympathy options the most searched, so make sure to tag your bouquets with these options to appear in the most popular searches.
The events come thick and fast this time of year! Mother's Day, check. Easter, check. But there's no rest for the wicked. Tiring, sure, we hear you, but ultimately it's great that we have more events to sell more flowers to more happy customers.
Easter 🐣🐥
According to our data, some of the most popular Easter flowers include daffodils and hyacinths. But it's also important to think about non-flower related gifts and add-ons, too. Over Easter especially, hampers and bundles that include chocolates are really popular. It's possible that your product page may appear on Google search results if you've created a page. Including the word 'Easter' in the title massively help increase your product visibility.
Hamper goals
This hamper combines chocolates and sweet treats with a selection of stems. So a great way to sell your bouquets with any add-ons you may have.
Peony season 🌸🌸
Name something fluffier than a peony? Didn't think so! Customers love them: in fact, they are the most searched flower on Floom.com. To capture this demand, our landing pages really hone in on peonies from April 1st to July 19th – that's peak peony season. It's possible that your product page may appear on Google search results if you've created a specific landing page for peonies. Including 'peony' and 'bouquet' in your product names will also help with exposure.
US Mother's Day 🇺🇸💐
Our popular Mother's Day bouquets last year consisted mainly of pastel bouquets as well as bouquets with accompanying gifts. Also, those with the word 'mother' in the title sold especially well. That might seem like a minor thing, but it's an effective attention-grabbing tactic.
What sells well

While not quite as synonymous as roses are for Valentine's Day, pastel bouquets seem to sell well over the Mother's Day week. Bouquets that are mid-level price points perform especially well as customers often spend less on a Mother's Day bouquet than they might on a romantic partner. Sad but true!

Whether you're making a bouquet from roses, tulips or posies, adding 'Mother' or a synonym helps sell bouquets for Mother's Day. Unlike Valentine's, customers need more guidance in choosing the perfect bouquet, so advertising that your bouquet has been made in mind for Mother's can help sway the sale.
Father's Day 🍻⚽️
Ignore the emojis – dads like flowers, too! (And if not, their partners often like flowers so much they order them some anyway to have around the house!) Plant product clicks increase over a two week period by 158% leading up to Father's Day. In the same period of time, hamper product clicks increased by 171%. The most searched terms on Google for Father's Day include: 'diy father's day gifts'; 'father's day garden gifts'; 'father's day gift box'.
What sells well
Hampers are particularly popular over the Father's Day period. Those that contain cheese, wine, whiskey and savoury snacks are good gifts for dad. Plants also sell better over Father's Day than any other festive occasion.
